Order item status can be set to let other kitchen staff or food runners know the cooking progress. There are two roles of the display, which are Kitchen and Expedite.
Kitchen Display Role
The Kitchen role is responsible for update the cooking status, as shown below.
- Not Start – This means the item does not start cooking.
- Cooking – This means the item is cooking or preparing to serve the customer.
- Bump – This means the item is ready to serve the customer.
Select the item and click
Not Start button
This item is not cooking.
Select the item and click
Cooking button
This item is cooking.
Select the item and click
Bump Item button
This item is finished.
Expedite Display Role
The Expedite role is responsible for update the serving item status, as shown below.
- Undone – This means the item is not ready to serve the customer.
- Ready – This status will update automatically when Kitchen bump the item. Food runner or busboy can check the item from the kitchen and serve to customers.
- Done – This means the item is served to the customer. When Food runner or busboy served the food to customers, they can check the item as “done”.
Select the item and click UnDone button
This item is not ready to serve.
When the kitchen bumped an item. The item status will automatically change to Ready.
This item is ready to serve.
Select the item and click Done button
This item is served to the customer.
