Order Timer and Color-coded Waiting Time

Estimated reading time: < 1 min

How it Works

When the server submitted new order from POS, the order appears in Kitchen Display with an order entry timestamp. The order timer starts counting from the ordered time. Kitchen staff may focus on the longer waiting-time order than the recent entry order. To make sure that customers don’t wait for a long time.

Order timer affects the order ticket’s color-coded. For example,

  • Within the first 15 minutes, after the order submitted, the order will display “Green” color-coded.
  • Between 15 – 30 minutes, the order will display “Yellow” color-coded.
  • After 30 minutes, the order will display “Red” color-coded.

Low waiting time displays
as Green color

Medium waiting time displays
as Yellow color

High waiting time displays
as Red color
